Walkabout Performer Opportunity

Call out to walkabout performers!

We’re recruiting for a walkabout performer to help us deliver an exciting new creative project in Rotherham funded by the Arts Council England.

We’ll be welcoming renowned giant puppet maker Andrew Kim to Rotherham in April 2024 to run a puppet making masterclass - follow this link for more details.

Building on designs created by young people, the puppet will become a climate mascot for Rotherham, encouraging communities to take action to tackle climate change and support nature recovery.

We’re looking for one or two walkabout performers to help us bring the puppet to life and tour local festivals. With energy and creativity, you’ll bring the puppet to life and help us engage local folk in action and help us make a success of this fantastic opportunity for community art in Rotherham. 

Day rate - £200 a day

Up to 8 days in 2024

Current Dates (including likely dates): 30th April, 30th May, 13th July, 10th August, 7th September, 8th September
